Description
Highlighting Comb Set 2.0 by Vellen Hair – five weaving combs made of ULTEM plastic in five sizes, each with an extra-long stainless steel pin tail. For babylights, balayage, classic highlights and chunky highlights.

- Five sizes: Each size has its own tooth spacing – from fine babylights to wide highlights, you pick the right comb.
- Even tension: The tooth pitch decreases gradually, so the section sits evenly in the comb and the line stays clean.
- Extra-long pin tail: 12 cm (4.7 in) stainless steel for sectioning and partings.
- Static-free: ULTEM (PEI) does not build up static – fewer fly-away hairs while sectioning.
- Light, secure grip: low weight, ergonomic handle with a non-slip surface.
- Heat and chemical resistant: ULTEM withstands up to 220 °C (428 °F) and holds up to color and bleach.
How to use
- Separate a thin section with the pin tail (up to about 5 mm).
- Comb the section smooth with the fine teeth and hold it taut.
- Place the comb about an inch from the root and lift it upwards while pulling the rest of the hair down.
- Slide the weaves off the comb with your finger.

These combs make babylights a breeze! I prefer my own weaving technique for traditional highlights or chunky. But these combs are all so super fine. The smallest one give an amazing strandlights effect where it’s soooo blended. I love it and it speeds up my foiling time. I applied an entire partial highlight in 10 minutes yesterday.

I really LOVE these combs. I've been hairdressing for 23 years, and because I'm a little old school, I do tend towards chunky foils, which are fine, they are a look. However having patience for babylites can be difficult in my fast paced salon. These just cut stress and time and give me perfect results with my ultra fine foils and babylites every single time. They are a godsend with women who want to blend out their natural silver with blonde foils without using a base colour, and always give clean results. I did a variety of three colors along with lighter. I used the Valeen combs with my hilighting and low lighting at diagonal sections. I was in a time crunch and this was my first time using them. I think they may have saved my bacon because I was able to squeeze in a color correction on this client right before I did her color service. She was a first time client and I had only had her booked for a hilight service; I had no idea I’d have to strip her hair first and in a pinch these brushes were very profitable! The outcome was great too!
